About

Our story

The Australian College of Sport (ACS) delivers nationally accredited high performance training and education qualifications to school students and school leavers. In collaboration with peak sporting organisations, professional clubs, secondary schools and university partners, the ACS strives to develop talented athletes through our Programs. We offer our graduates pathways that are athletic, educational and industry oriented and specific to their chosen sport.

Established in a pilot program with the State Government of South Australia in 2006, the ACS continues to expand. Our stable of domestic Programs in Schools, post Year 12 and new ventures off shore see ever increasing opportunities for our graduates. The human element of our athlete culture is a key strength, as we nurture and shepherd our talent through their chosen pathway. The ACS Alumni join a special group of individuals who are extending their reach through the global ACS network.

Our People, Our Vision, Our Values

ACS staff and special consultants are experts in their field. They all share a wealth of knowledge, experience and success in training and educating talented athletes. Many of our staff have performed and succeeded at the highest levels as an athlete, before adding their training and education experience to their successes. We welcome the opportunity of meeting you to discuss your aspirations and sporting goals. As a student of ACS, your technical, physical and elite mind components of your Program, we engage you individually and in small groups. For the tactical and theory based components of your training, you will experience inspirational curriculum delivered face to face in larger group settings.

The very best athletes understand that getting to your best, comes primarily from accepting humility. Humility is an attitude that is critical for success. Never think that you are good enough just to train, you must always focus on learning and improving from every training session.”

This drives our Mission: to enable every student to be best prepared for achieving the next level of their sporting success.

Our Values guide every part of our culture, our relationships our training and education programs and our practices. At ACS, we promote, enable and foster respectful relationships. We build relevant and aspirational pathways for our students that are inspirational in their construct. Our endeavour is to unlock each and every student’s potential.
